SpacePilot
The Intelligent Motion Controller
Introducing the intelligent controller that responds to
your needs. "Adaptive sensing technology" delivers the
functions you want, the instant you want them.
Meet SpacePilot.
Building on the Two-Handed Power of our highly-successful SpaceBall
and SpaceMouse, SpacePilot is a true breakthrough in the world of user
interface devices. Its adaptive sensing technology and extendable speed keys
place unlimited functions and functionality right at your fingertips.
With one hand on your SpacePilot and the other on your mouse, you'll enjoy
control over your applications never before possible - or even imagined. All of
which adds up to unparalleled control and mastery over your 3D design world.
Now that's what we mean by intelligent.
SpacePilot adapts and reacts.
SpacePilot is like nothing else. Adaptive sensing technology gives you
the functionality you want, when you want it. Commands become available
on the LCD and dynamically update when you switch applications or
tackle different work modes within an application. Whether you're doing
part modeling, assembly or animation, SpacePilot reacts with the functions
you need. At your fingertips is an array of extendable, programmable
speed keys that help you stay immersed in your design. No more
repetitive mouse moves or keystrokes that take you out of the flow.
SpacePilot connects you with your applications like never before.
21 speed keys ensure mind and hand are working in unison.
Dynamically-labeled keys are both adaptive and extendable
Unlike any other 3D motion controller, SpacePilot features an easy-to-read LCD
screen that displays available functions in current applications. Keys 1-6 give
you instant access to your con. gurations. When changing applications, the LCD
immediately refreshes to show functions for the new application. Within an application,
tapping on the Con. g key displays more sets of functions on the LCD
- the number of virtual keys is unlimited. You can also customize keys 1-6 with
new functions and the LCD will instantly re. ect changes. The Panel key provides
details on customizing keys for your application.
Control Keys
To get you up-and-running fast and to improve control, take advantage of the
Control Keys. Adjust the input speed dynamically with - and + or move just
one axis at a time (with Dom). This function is very useful when . rst becoming
familiar with the device.
Fit Key
Quickly size your 3D model or scene to the center of the screen with pinpoint
accuracy and speed. Zoom in to work on a part, then quickly zoom out for a look
at your complete design - the overview of your work is always close-at-hand.
Modifier Keys
With the same look, feel, and execution of a high-end keyboard, the conveniently
located Esc, Shift, Ctrl, and Alt keys are easily accessible without removing your
hand from the control cap. Use individually or in multi-key combinations.
View Keys
Access standard views of your design with the T, R, F and L keys. Disengage
the 3D View Lock mode when working in 2D mode for quick pan and zoom functionality.
Or, in digital content creation software, when you want to activate
control in all 2D and 3D view ports.
SpacePilot becomes a virtual extension of you.
While the mouse isolates you from the 3D design process, SpacePilot
connects you. It allows you to simultaneously pan, zoom, and rotate 3D
models and scenes. Simply push, tilt, and twist the control cap and
the response is immediate, the positioning exact. It is superior performance
stemming from our fine-tuning of the optical sensors and
springs to respond precisely to application software. All delivered
through a stylish, ergonomic design that provides a glove-like feel
-- guiding your hand into a natural, comfortable position.
Eliminate 50% of mouse work and gain 30% in efficiency over just using a mouse.
